Health Insurance - Open Enrollment

Open Enrollment for individual/family health Insurance is on the horizon. Open Enrollment officially starts November 1^st and ends January 31^st. This is the only time of the year that the Affordable Care Act allows you to change your health insurance plan; unless you have a qualifying event. If you believe you are eligible for a tax credit you will want to sign up through the Washington Healthplanfinder.  https://www.wahealthplanfinder.org/_content/Homepage.html.  HELPFUL HINT 1: For January 1, 2017 coverage, only submit your application between November 24, and December 23. If you submit your application before November 24, your coverage will change December 1, and you will have to submit another application for January 1 coverage.  If you apply December 24 or later your coverage will start Febuary 1 or later.   Signing up for coverage thru the Washington Healthplanfinder can be time consuming and exasperating.
