Help Us Bring Joy To A Struggling Family This Year!
Bob Wallin Insurance is excited to partner with The Salvation Army to adopt a local, struggling family this Christmas Season but we need your help!!
Every year, the Salvation Army has a list of families who are desperately in need of everyday items and some Christmas Spirit. These families have applied through The Salvation Army and are either homeless, just in housing, getting back on their, new to town or just lost their job and are in dire straits. They have wish list items such as toys for the children, clothing for the family members, household items and gift cards for food. These families consist of one or two parents raising anywhere from 1 child to many children including nieces and nephews in some situations.
Bob Wallin Insurance wants to make a difference - Will you join us?
We have not yet been told the details such as age and number of children but we will be updating our blog as soon as we do know which should be in November!! Usually people use Black Friday and other Christmas sales to make the dollar stretch. We hope you will join us! We will have a specific family list soon that you can contribute to or drop off an individual item at our office. All items must be received by Wednesday, December 9th. Below is a list of typical items that are not necessarily family specific:
- Coats
- Socks
- Gift Cards random. These are great for older kids who no longer play with toys but like books or movies.
- Christmas food for food only families
- Miscellaneous toys
- Older kid items - sports things, bath items, headphones, cheap cell phones that require cards for minutes and 'hoodies' - they serve up to the age of 14. People LOVE to buy awesome toys for babies and the 14 year old kids get left out.
- We also sponsor lonely seniors (with no family) with slippers, clothing, blankets, socks, stuffed animals etc.
